FreeUp Pro respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected when you use the FreeUp Pro app.
Information We Collect
Photo Library Access
FreeUp Pro requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select, compress, and save photos and videos. We do not upload, transmit, or store your media on any server. All compression happens entirely on your device.
Purchase Information
In-app purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store. We do not collect, see, or store any payment or billing information. We only receive a confirmation from Apple that a purchase was completed, which is stored locally on your device to unlock features.
No Analytics or Tracking
FreeUp Pro does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, device identifiers, or any personally identifiable information.
How We Use Your Information
The only data FreeUp Pro accesses is your photo library, and this is used solely to:
- display your photos and videos within the app
- compress the files you select
- save compressed files back to your library
- optionally delete originals you choose to remove
None of this data leaves your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal information or media to any third party. All operations are performed locally on your device.
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for information on how Apple processes purchase transactions.
Data Storage
FreeUp Pro stores only your purchase entitlement state locally on your device using standard iOS secure storage. No data is stored on external servers.
Children's Privacy
FreeUp Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Because FreeUp Pro does not transmit or store your data externally, your photos and personal information remain entirely under your control on your own device.
Disclaimer of Liability
FreeUp Pro is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mad Pineapple Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- any loss, corruption, or accidental deletion of photos, videos, or other data on your device
- any damage to your device, hardware, or software arising from use of the app
- any loss of data resulting from compression, saving, or deletion operations performed within the app
- any interruption or failure of the app to function as expected
You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your photos, videos, and other important data before using FreeUp Pro. We strongly recommend backing up your library via iCloud, iTunes, or another backup method before compressing or deleting any files.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
